1. Use your own words as much as possible

2. Do not give examples 

3. Do not use quotes or statistics when you write the main idea

4. Paraphrasing is repacing the original words for those ones you have been given. You also generaly keep the same length when you write a paraphrase

5. Finding the main idea is shorter than a paraphrase. It is a type of summary writing.
