Earthquake in Haiti

Oh, no! Not another earthquake! If you could recall in 2016 Hurricane Mathew pounded Haiti and left some 200,000 people dead, and thousands homeless.
According to the Financial Times, "Tremors, that were bigger than the 2010 earthquake hit Petit Trou De Nippes, Haiti on Saturday and buried people in the rubble. At least 304 people have been confirmed dead, 1,800 injured and they Death toll is expected rise."
Because of the earthquake’s magnitude, “US Geological Survey has warned that, “Haiti will need international help.” Video footage that is sparse show residents running from their homes from flood waters.
Not only has the earthquake come at a most inopportune time but according to some, that region of Haiti had already been cut off from the capital due to an upsurge in gang violence. Additionally, tropical storm Grace was expected to make landfall in four days.Along with this the country is in the process of holding elections.Moreover, because Nippes and the surrounding area are rural regions of Haiti, internet is unstable, and it has been difficult to get a full picture of the damages. For these reasons, prime Minister Ariel Henry has declared a state of emergency in Haiti.
